ThinkingPets Guild

ThinkingPets is an organization that is focused on providing pet owners with the best service in the country. Prof. Peter Neville, one of the leading behaviourists in the world, is one of our shareholders and we hold the exclusive licence to offer the offer the COAPE UK (Centre of Applied Pet Ethology) Open College Network accredited courses here in South Africa.  This means that all our Instructors have access to the most up to date research and information/ techniques in the world, and are on the cutting edge of behaviour, training and Ttouch.
 
ThinkingPets conforms to international training standards, while still catering for conditions unique to South Africa. We host on-going workshops for all ThinkingPets Guild Members, to ensure everyone maintains the same standard of excellence. All Guild Members have extensive back-up, in both telephonic and e-format and we take pride in each of our highly-skilled Instructors.

Becoming a Guild Member

Becoming part of ThinkingPets means becoming part of a team. ThinkingPets has an extensive support structure and this means, should you, as a Guild Member, have any behaviour or training questions the sum of knowledge of the entire ThinkingPets Team is at your disposal. Once a student has completed the Confi-Puppy or Confi-Kitten course, he/she can apply to join the ThinkingPets Guild.

We host various courses and workshops throughout the year that will enable you to expand your puppy or kitten school. This means that you will be kept up to date with the latest knowledge in the training and behaviour world. It also ensures that all ThinkingPets members maintain the same standard of excellence that clients have come to expect from anyone practising under the ThinkingPets banner.

The possibilities with ThinkingPets are endless! Becoming a ThinkingPets Confi-Puppy or Confi-Kitten Instructor is only the first step on your journey to a life working with pets.


Guild Fees

Members of the ThinkingPets Guild pay a fee per annum. For this minimal fee, Guild Members receive:
 
A listing on the ThinkingPets website, listing their area, contact details and qualifications. Members can request us to update their profile at any time.
 
Referrals from website enquiries for their listed area.
 
Access to a discussion forum on behaviour and training topic, where members can ask for help and advice on class issues.
 
A listing of all Guild Members with contact details. Guild Members can arrange for another Guild Member to take over their classes while they are on leave. 
 
Advertisements (for Puppy Schools) placed by Eukanuba in various publications and their printed brochures under “ThinkingPets Puppy Schools”.
 
Various free courses hosted by ThinkingPets aimed at expanding your knowledge about behaviour and training.
 
The right to use the ThinkingPets and Eukanuba/Iams logos on any advertising material (subject to Eukanuba and ThinkingPets approving the content).
 
The right to purchase the very popular ThinkingPets Confi-Puppy and Confi-Kitten class CD manuals and clickers at a nominal fee, to hand out to your clients in class.
