Family Fun Day

In 2010, ThinkingPets launched the Christmas Shoe Box Drive to help the animal shelters across the country. The Drive was a huge success and we were able to donate to Barking Mad, Cat-a-holics, CLAW, the Namaqua Dog and Donkey Foundation and the Sandton SPCA. ThinkingPets strives to help the homeless animals in the many shelters across the country. We believe that even a small contribution can go a long way and that, perhaps, by leading by example we can inspire others to do the same.

As part of the Christmas Shoe Box Drive in 2011, we hosted the very first Family Fun Day on 1 October 2011 at the beautiful Waterhaven Country Estate in Gerardsville, Gauteng. You can visit their site to see more of the venue: www.waterhaven.co.za. Along with an entrance fee, we asked each family to bring along a shoe box full of goodies for either a dog or a cat. All these donations are going to the animal shelters that we are supporting with the Christmas Shoe Box Drive. The day was a great success and everyone had a great time.
